Instead of a day full of physical exercise only, as day care offers, your dog will also get mental stimulation through training. All aspects of their day will be centered around learning. The goal of Day School Training is to create a happy, balanced, well-behaved companion by teaching everyday life lessons.
If you have recently adopted a dog from a shelter, rescue group, or other organization, congratulations! Dogs adopted from a dog shelter or animal rescue can make wonderful pets. With time, patience, and training, shelter dogs can become happy, well-adjusted family members.
Training your rescue dog should be a top priority. Your newly adopted dog may have some level of obedience training already, or it may not have any. It’s also possible that something in its past will trigger behavioral issues. That’s why training is so important.
Treat your shelter dog the same way you would a new puppy coming into your house. Assume that it has never had any training. Even if the dog had obedience training in the past, it may need a refresher after all that it has been through.
Day School is the perfect environment for that refresher training. We can assess your rescue dog and create a training plan specific to your dog’s needs.
We are accepting new Day School clients at this time. If you would like more information, please give us a call or send us an email and Tori will contact you.
Truly Balanced Day School Training is exactly that…truly balanced! Offering a structured day of training, Tori will tailor training lessons to you and your dog’s specific needs. Whether it is learning new behaviors, fine tuning existing behaviors, re-learning lessons that have been forgotten, or correcting unwanted behaviors, Tori will craft a training program that is right for you and your dog. If you asked, “what’s the difference between Day School and Day Care,” we would tell you that goal of Day School is to make your dog a better, more well-behaved companion.
